Strong in type and movement and with a dark coat this son of Diamond Hit, whose pedigree combines internationally significant stallions, knows how to impress his audience.

His sire Diamond Hit won silver medals in the World Championships and in the Warendorf Championships for five-year-old dressage horses in 2002. The year before, he won silver medals in the State Championships and in the Warendorf Championships for four-year-old stallions. He was named best licensed and performance tested stallion by the Ministry of Agriculture at the Warendorf Championships in 2001. Diamond Hit was internationally successful up to Grand Prix level under Emma Hindle/GBR and had placings at the Grand Prix in Aachen, Wiesbaden and Stadl Paura/AUT.

His licensed son Donavan became Champion of four-year-old stallions in Warendorf in 2005 and finished in second place at the Warendorf Championships for five-year-old dressage horses in 2006. His daughter Loxana convincingly won the Elite Mare Show of the Oldenburg Association in Rastede in 2005 where a total of ten Diamond Hit daughters were awarded the State Premium. Diamantenbörse was State Champion of three-year-old riding horses at the same time and ranked highly in the World Championships for young dressage horses in 2008. In 2005, Diamond Hit was named VTV dressage stallion of the year at the Oldenburg Stallion Days.

59 of Diamond Hit’s progeny have so far been successful at advanced level dressage. The FN Breeding Value Index confirms in black and white that Diamond Hit continues to rank at the top of all sires in 2014 with 148 points in a nationwide comparison.

The dam’s sire Don Gregory was successful up to Grand Prix level under Martina Hannöver-Sternberg and is generally regarded as the Donnerhall son who has left the strongest genetic mark and here he provides an inbreeding effect on this status symbol of the Oldenburg breed in the third generation.

Rosenkavalier in the third generation is considered to be the most important son of Romadour II and via his sons ushered in a new era in dressage horse breeding. He has also sired equally first-class show jumpers.

His great-grandmother Association Premium Mare Maureen is a daughter of Mon Cheri, who was a versatile sire able to satisfy the highest demands.

The pedigree is completed almost perfectly by Grundstein I and Einblick, who were trained up to Grand Prix level. Der Kavalier goes back to the originally Hanoverian mare line 36/Ahnendolde (by Ahn-Flak-Hammer). This is also the origin of the licensed stallions Cannavaro, Cohiba (NL), Compliment (privately owned stallion Hannover),Don Wesley (privately owned stallion Hannover), Einstand I and II, Germany (privately owned stallion Hannover), Goldstein (state stud stallion Celle), Grand Lion (privately owned stallion Bavaria), Hampton (privately owned stallion Hannover), Lesodoro (LH state stud stallion Celle), Nachtfalter (state stud stallion Warendorf) and the internationally successful dressage horse Slibovitz (under Dr Uwe Schulten-Baumer).

Albführen’s Der Kavalier received excellent marks in the 30-day test in Munich Riem with a weighted final mark of 8.31; a final mark of 8.01 for dressage and a final mark of 8.08 for show jumping.

After successfully completing young horse tests with outstanding marks, including 9.0 for canter and 8.0 for trot and walk, Albführen’s Der Kavalier has reached the advanced level under his rider Laura Aas.

His unrivalled rideability, flawless conformation and exemplary character make Albführen’s Der Kavalier another figurehead of the Albführen breeding station.
